Sketch and Describe
Above are rapid sketches related to my overall theme of 'Crocheting Inspiration'. The first sketch represents a bee being the creator of the life around it. This bee's twine will be multi coloured to represent the creativeness throughout the piece. The twine will also be made from wool to symbolise crocheting.
On the other hand, the second sketch is a self portrait. one side is made from garden supplies while the other is made from wool/cotton. This again symbolises the tight connection to crocheting as we try to 'inspire a creative mind'.

Sketch and Describe
The rapid sketches above are simple yet effective. In the first sketch we see two cotton solders. These solders are created from balls of cotton. This symbolises the ability of form a cotton ball can have; 2D or 3D.
The second sketch provides a cotton ball with a simple 'Crocheting Inspiration'. To reflect the person who this is based on, the words will be written in their favourite colour Blue, while the twine will be multi-coloured to represent the endless about of abilities the twine has to produce an art work.

Sketch and Describe
Above are rapid sketches used to quickly jot down on paper the ideas that follow when focusing on a task. Crocheting Inspiration means the possibilities are endless. The above sketches are directly linked to the ideas I received when thinking of 'Crocheting' and 'Inspiration'.
The first sketch show four different coloured balls all contributing to create a masterpiece which is 'Crocheting Inspiration'. Without the cotton balls, there would be no colour let along art.
The second sketch focuses on a bee with balls of cotton around. Bees are hard workers and without bees "we wouldn't exist". Bees not only help nature but they are creative animals who I feel fit the criteria of Inspiration. The bee will not have all his/her colours as they will need to source the colours from the cotton balls.

Key Component process

Feature Image Construction:
A ball of colourful wool was used on this project. Also, a few ping pong balls to create a sphere shape and white cardboard to make the colours pop.
Problems:
During the construction of my art work, I had trouble with the wool sticking to the paper. I first tired school glue but it would not stick. I later tired a hot glue gun but the glue from the gun was consuming the cotton. I finally reverted back to the school glue but this time with a more gentle approach.
Final Arrangement before taking photos:
I used a hot glue gun to glue the balls to the cardboard sheet, thus meaning the balls won't fall of when I pick the art up. I do not trust the glue.
